GREEnsMartkitchEN (GREEMEN) is a project funded by the Marche region for the study and development of an innovative kitchen formed of a smart control system and new furnishings with a low environmental impact.
The study, which was completed on 20 December 2017, involved the companies Sinergia Consulenze s.r.l., APIO s.r.l., COSMOB s.p.a., ERS S.r.l., FAPAM S.r.l. and INOXA S.r.l. and the Marche University Polytechnic.

The domotics system improves comfort of the kitchen by allowing better interaction between the user and the household appliances. The user can program the device remotely and receive feedback to monitor the event. This means interaction is always clear and accessible to everyone.

The typical uses of this type of interaction are:

• Programmed switch-on of household appliances. The interface can be used to check the status of the household appliance and program it to switch on at the desired time.

• Household appliances in operation signal. The system gives a light signal when it detects a household appliance in operation, by activating the led bars. This solution is particularly handy for recessed household appliances, such as a dishwasher, since it allows the user to check the dishwasher status instantaneously and know when it has completed its cycle, even through the lighted information only.
