Three scholarships and two special prizes up for grabs in the "Kitchen of tomorrow: a competition for young designers" contest.
Milan, May 20th 2011 - The prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the "Kitchen of tomorrow: a competition for young designers" contest will be held tomorrow, Saturday May 21st at 10.30am. The competition, open to final year students of the Istituto d’Arte di Macerata G. Cantalamessa (Macerata Art School), involved the design of new kitchens and research into additional accessories organised in such a way as to improve the appearance and functionality of the designs in question.
The initiative launched by Prof. Vincenzo Treccioni was met with enthusiasm by CUCINE LUBE, the company from the Marche region of Italy, which again showed itself to be mindful of the importance of youth by investing in the search for and development of future professionals. Various cash prizes were on offer for all participants. Almost all the designs touched on the themes of TRANSFORMABILITY, MOVEMENT and MULTIFUNCTIONALITY, while not forgetting the history of design and above all the needs of the disabled. In first place was Mattia Gironelli with the design "Ghost", in second came Riccardo Bertini with "Twister" and in third was Xenia Bottoni with "Rubik". The special prizes went to Filippo Sbrancia with "Baukuche" and Arianna Grioli with "Componimi".
The ceremony took place in the company's showroom where the winners received their prizes from the management of the LUBE Group, the leading Italian kitchen producer.
