The company from the Marche region of Italy will be the leader of the "E-Kitchen: the intelligent and user-friendly kitchen" project, the biggest of its kind financed by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development (MiSE).
Milan, April 2011. The launch of the "E-Kitchen" project, which is financed under the terms of the MiSE Industry 2015 "Made in Italy" programme, will take place at LUBE INDUSTRIES (via dell’Industria 8, Treia-MC) on April 19th.
The LUBE Group has shown once again that it represents the excellence of the Made in Italy programme by heading a project that involves a pool of 15 of the sector's leading companies (also in terms of the Marche region), who include: INDESIT COMPANY, FABER, SPES, TELECOM ITALIA, DE LONGHI, CENTRO RICERCHE FIAT
The project, which will be undertaken in collaboration with research centres and universities, was chosen by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development under the banner of the "New Technologies for Made in Italy" section of the Programme for Industrial Innovation, itself a part of the "Industry 2015" government initiative.
The goal is to develop a new "kitchen" (or "e-kitchen") setting that will represent the kitchen models of the future, where comfort, efficiency, usability, ergonomics and safety for the "vulnerable" (the elderly, disabled and children), interaction with the outside world and new "intelligent" functions blend in with the unique style of "Made in Italy". Technological advancements in the home will thus rely on domotics (a new coinage from the Latin word "domus" and "robotics") to transform the kitchen in the next few years.
The project can be considered one of the first initiatives of the Domotics Technology Cluster in the Marche region.
As well as providing an opportunity to introduce the partners involved in the project and outline the work that will be undertaken over a period of 36 months, the meeting of April 19th will also serve as a discussion forum for research and development topics of particular importance to the Marche regional government.
