On Friday, the 19th of June in Ancona, during the event “L’impresa fa cultura”, organized by the advanced cultural district of the Marche Region, the University of Studies of Macerata presented “The kitchen of wonders”, an applied research realised in collaboration with Cucine Lube.
The aim of the conference is to renew the historical relation between design and manufacturing industries, while looking at the future, innovation and development, through the presentation of successful case studies and new production opportunities.
The project wants to configure a new domestic space suitable for accommodating children, while offering them an educational model for proper nutrition to favour a healthy sustainable lifestyle. The kitchen recovers its educational value and food is interpreted as a social space of relations between classes, regions, nations and cultures. Through the use of the kitchen experimental modules, children can interact with food, ordinary tools and unknown instruments, as well as play with simple machines using their five senses to learn the value of contact with the earth, the sequence of seasons, and the farmers' rituals.
Being a collective kitchen, “The kitchen of wonders” highlights the great attention paid by Lube Group to experimentation in order to create new relations between generations, traditions and consumption.
In the same days the investigation work “Kitchens of Wonders” was presented at Symbola's Soft Economy Festival as an example of research and culture developed by Made in Italy companies.
