Here you can find the answers to your most frequent questions, as a guide in deciding which kitchen to choose.
- What aspects should we look at when choosing a kitchen top?
-
The top must be in line with the style of the entire composition, but also needs to comply with certain technical parameters, such as:
- ensuring easy and fast daily maintenance and cleaning;
- water-repellence;
- sound mechanical resistance or the capacity to resist impacts, abrasions and heat.
- What are the most resistant tops for the kitchen?
-
The Fenix top is anti-mould and, since it is a hard material, it resists well against impacts and does not absorb liquids. The Composite is impermeable, stain-resistant and easy to maintain, like porcelain stoneware which remains one of the most resistant tops in the kitchen.
Gruppo LUBE has registered the trademark of its Koros ® worktops, a new line of technical tops designed exclusively to customise all the Cucine LUBE models; an impermeable, recyclable material that is highly resistant to abrasions, stains and the onset of mould. - What colour should I choose for the kitchen top?
-
The best solution for a modest-sized kitchen is to choose a bright, shiny top such as Quarzo in its lightest colours. For a classic and rustic style composition it is preferable to choose a worktop in Granite, Marble or Tiled. Tops with the darkest, trendiest and most powerful colours are perfect for a modern kitchen.
- What type of peninsula should I choose?
-
There are two types: pull-out ones which are inserted inside the kitchen units for a perfect, space-saving solution, or fixed ones.
With the second type, the work surface can be supported on legs which mirror the material used for the peninsula or glass items, designed to maintain a clean and elegant line. Another solution is to opt for an end unit with open elements to organise your items and accessories in the most effective way. - Open space: is it better to choose an island or a peninsula?
-
There are two variables to be taken into consideration. The first relates to dimensions: the available space you need for a kitchen with an island is 13.8 sq.m and 9.3 sq.m for a peninsula. The second variable is the type of use; an island is better suited to a social setting which encourages people to move around the room, whereas a peninsula is useful for separating the kitchen space from the rest of the house, offering greater privacy.
